Pride
The above production is a previous media student's courework. I am unaware of their grade although I am sure they received a very high grade, as it is of very high quality and looks professional.
The genre of the film is gangster. It connotates the gang life in which young adults are forced into- taking part in illegal operations, leading to illegal money, and eventually murder.
The camera work is also of very high quality. It demonstrates zoom shots on the murder victims face and the suspects face, this shows to the audience who is the victim and what has been done to them and by who.
The production companies used were 'Miramax Films' and 'Blood For Blood production'. These are Hollywood production labels, and focus on action and crime films. They are able to do so well as they have very high budgets. This film would have been shown in a cinema and not on television, alhtough when shown on television- past the watershed as it contains bad language and scenes of violence.
I suppose the audience to watch this film is the sterotypical action craving man aged over 18 and possibly very cool women, as it shows real life and an unfortunate ending, rather than a HAPPY CINDERRELLA ENDING!
The film itself starts from a death, so it is basically a flash back. No boring cliffhangers just a plain, simple and good storyline.
This film is not for the faint hearted. If you can stand violence, bad language and death scenes- then this is possibly the best film out since THE GODFATHER. If not BETTER THAN 'THE GODFATHER'.
OH YES!.
